All goods are bar coded and scanned into the facility’s warehouse management system. The usage of RF guns to read locations and product barcodes improve the speed and accuracy of order picking and shipping.
Technology and value added service are major focal points. Our facilities are linked by dedicated high speed telecommunication lines. The Logimax system provides powerful and versatile warehouse management system, EDI & eBusiness offerings on our IBM System i midrange server.
Gannet is EDI enabled and receives electronic orders from many clients, both with standard protocol and file exchanges.
Our customers are able to enjoy web based access to all inventory data. Our portal allows clients to see shipping and tracking numbers from carriers and UPS, with clickable direct access to the UPS tracking site.

Transportation
First class container drayage is our signature service and we offer professional and timely container drayage, trailer load (TL), and less-than-a-trailer load (LTL) services to the Northeast. Our system is designed to deliver a top quality service to our customers.
Quality service begins with a mechanical inspection of all containers upon reaching our yard. Clients can track their boxes on our web site for up to the minute information about availability and other critical details.
Regional
Leonard’s fleet of 53’ air ride trailers serve points from New England to Ohio to Virginia.
We are registered HazMat haulers, permitted for overweight loads, and experienced in refrigerated boxes. Overweight containers are regularly hauled and mounted on our tri-axle chassis’s. The company obtains the required permits for this service.
New York Metropolitan Area
Annually, we transport over 10,000 containers from the Port of New York.
Same day trailer delivery is routine in our fast paced dispatch office.
Smaller shipments are moved within 100 miles of the New York metropolitan area. LTL shipments are regularly distributed throughout the 5 boros of New York, as we serve as cartage agents for a national carrier.
Inside delivery, tailgate, white glove, and “hot shot” delivery services make Leonard a valuable and versatile organization to its clients.
Specialized equipment is available to serve New York City, including 12’6” and lift gate trailers.

Customer Service
Our customer service department consists of a group of highly trained and dedicated people. These individuals, managed by Sandra Letra, are assigned a group of companies for which they are responsible.
Their responsibility begins with data entry for all inventory transactions and extends to a role as a satellite service center for their accounts. Duties include monitoring the quality of the products, carrier performance, and assisting our customers meet the changing and growing needs of their customers.

Information Technology
All locations use one system. Customers can see their inventory at any of our facilities when they visit our web site. Not only is current inventory visible through a password protected site, but all inbound and outbound transaction with clickable tracking numbers are, as well. Lot histories are also available for any given item which facilitates inventory reconciliation.
Our importers also use our technology. The Container Status Report is a password protected report which presents our customers with all their active containers. All pertinent data about each container is available, with comments on each for the latest status updates. It is also possible to see a history of all terminated containers and search the data by container number. This is a widely used tool for scheduling and supply chain coordination.
